June 02, 2005 - 12:16 p.m. Stupid diaryland, I have a free minute to post something and of course I can’t get access. Between diaryland and Mediacom shutting down our crappy internet service several times a day it’s a wonder I ever am able to blog at all! It’s a rare free moment around lunchtime for us. Amy got into huge trouble this morning – while I was taking a quick shower she got a hold of a ball point pen and happily colored all over our bedroom walls. She got a BIG scolding and time out for that one. So we had a kind of stressful morning and she was upset. I wore myself out trying to scrub down the walls (God Bless the Mr. Clean people for making those Magic Erasers, they take everything off!) so I laid down for a while. She wanted to curl up on the bed with me and surprisingly, she fell asleep! So now I’ve had the time to balance my checkbook and write my diary entry in peace and quiet. Not that I’m able to write anything AT diaryland, mind you. This is all being done in a text file waiting for an opportunity to upload it, which probably won’t happen for a day or two! I don’t know if I mentioned it before – I’m telling you with this sketchy access I go too long between entries – but we had an amazing Memorial Day weekend with Greg and Keith. They came here Friday night and stayed until Sunday. I felt like a bit of a bad hostess because I wasn’t feeling quite myself and there isn’t a whole lot of exciting stuff to do in Minnesota, but it sure was good to see them! And we did have a relaxing weekend, which is always a plus. Being around Greg always feels like having a brother around. He tends to throw things at my head in public places and cause a commotion. It was fantastic to meet Keith, who is one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met! He’s like the best houseguest on the planet. He did dishes, he watched Amy, he offered to mow the lawn! He’s super nice though, and a cutie too. Amy misses him, she’s still asking about him. Obviously we need to plan more trips together in the future! Anyway it’s time to go wake Amy so she actually takes a nap during the afternoon. Now to figure out what I’m going to feed her for lunch…..
